Editor’s Note: We were recently contacted by Adam King, a retail merchandising student from Syracuse University, about featuring a spring fashion post he’d written for an assignment. We appreciate that Adam chose spring staples applicable to women of all ages and body types as well as a variety of price points.
Thankfully, this winter has flown by and spring is here. Around this time every year, I start my shopping list for spring and summer weather!
I love that white pants are no longer reserved for just May through August. I think everyone should have at least one classic pair of white jeans and these white jeans from Mango add a touch of edge to your outfit. I love it combined with this patterned shirt from J.Crew. These breezy button-downs have really become a stylish spring staple.
Work appropriate dresses for spring and summer are great to have on those hot days. This similar style can be dressed up or down. It would be great for work or for one of the summer weddings you have lined up.
I love the sneaker trend going on because I am all about adding an extra layer of comfort. I love these sneakers from Toms because of the great fabric and color.
Leather crossbody bags are a year round favorite since they go with almost anything and they’re hassle free. I also love classic aviator sunglasses. If you are addicted to buying sunglasses (and can’t spend a fortune on every pair) these aviators from H&M are a great option.
And although we’re excited for sunny spring weather, it’s important to have fun rain gear to get you through the dreary days. I love these floral rain boots and the detail of the pink bottom. Also they come in a bunch of different fun patterns!
You won’t miss the sun (much) with a cute umbrella from Felix Rey & Co. Founder Lily Band designed this umbrella while probably wishing away the rain like the rest of us. Vera Bradley also has some very cute umbrellas to handle the rain in style!
Adam, you did a fabulous job and we’re happy you reached out! You can follow Adam on Pinterest here.
