I lived in the City of Roses for eight years before moving back to the dry side of the state. Even though eastern Oregon is home, I still miss Portland something fierce, partly because the shopping, dining and drinking opportunities in Stumptown never disappoint. Here are three of my top shopping picks:
It’s not hard to see why Grand Marketplace has been called the single most brilliantly curated store in Portland. This central eastside gem has over twenty talented vendors. My tip is to go here to be inspired or find a really special piece, not so much for bargain hunting:)
Ink & Peat has an amazing selection of products – home décor, pillows, jewelry, candles, pottery, books, art, you name it. There’s also a lovely floral design studio in the back of the store. This is the perfect place to find a gift. So pretty.
I learned about Monticello a few years ago on Lipstick Gypsy’s blog. How could I have been clueless about this place when it was right under my nose for so long?! Plan to spend at least an hour here. It’s a very, very special place.
