Last weekend the much anticipated Junk Barn Girls show came to Hermiston, Oregon. Usually held in a barn outside of Stanfield, this year the girls planned a great event at the more centrally located Umatilla County Fairgrounds. Here are some pics from our booth this year:
This photo doesn’t do it justice, but Alison’s husband and mother-in-law built us this super cool booth structure with a chalkboard background and “PINK” sign. Just ignore that nasty blue ceiling! Alison’s black buffet was one of the first things to go when the doors opened and shoppers came flooding in.
My weathered baseballs, bats, mitts, wagons, trucks and oars were swooped up pretty quickly by moms looking to add a vintage touch to their little boys’ rooms.
You can never have too many baskets, horns or suitcases in my humble opinion!
I painted this “Be Grateful” message on half of an old barn door. I really dig the unexpected color combo of black plaid and a worn grayish navy blue on Alison’s chairs – in fact, I regret not buying them for myself!
Thank you to everyone who came and shopped at JBG! Oh and east Oregonians: make sure to check out Paradise Rose Chuckwagon. They served up the best pulled pork sandwiches, tri-tip and baked beans (not to mention bread pudding, berry cobbler and homemade ice cream) to JBG shoppers and vendors. We can’t wait for next year!
